Welcome to Álainn Beaded Jewelry! Thanks for stopping by!
The beginnings of Álainn Beaded Jewelry started in November of 2008. I purchased a beautiful necklace, which I paid a lot of money for. When I looked very closely at it I decided that I could make one myself. It was so beautiful that I wanted to have more! I went out to Michael’s and JoAnn Etc. to buy some beads and try my hand at necklace making. After I completed my first necklace I wore it all the time! I liked it even better than the one that I bought for myself!
Soon, people started asking me about my jewelry. I decided that since Christmas was around the corner I would make necklaces for all the women in my life. I got to work using all sorts of different colors and beads. I tried to make a necklace that felt right for the person I was making it for. No one got the same necklace, each one was different and everyone loved them.
Before you knew it, people were asking my gift recipients about my necklaces and the idea of starting my own business was off the ground! I now make bracelets and earrings, as well as some other miscellaneous items. Álainn Beaded Jewelry has grown into what you see now and I look forward to it growing and expanding even more in the coming years.
When I’m not making jewelry I am a wife to Jim, mom to Marla, Christopher, Caitlin and Kerrie, and a letter carrier for the post office. My oldest daughter Marla and her husband Garrick help me administer this site. My son Christopher has joined me in the ranks of delivering mail. My daughter Caitlin has taken after me in terms of creativity. She and I dabbled in beading a few years ago together. My youngest daughter Kerrie is still in school and she loves to play on the computer and run for her track team. I am also a grandma to Trent and Hunter, whom I miss very much since they live so far away.
Please be sure to visit often to see what I am up to and what new jewelry I am making. You can purchase our products here on our site or visit Álainn Beaded Jewelry on Etsy, eCrater and Facebook. If you have any questions or would like me to make you a custom necklace be sure to email me. Thank you for visiting, and happy beading!
